See how we make our pick: 30 million Americans have Restless Legs Syndrome and many of those suffering have symptoms so severe that it negatively affects their quality of life. These symptoms range from a restless need to move around, an irritating buzzing, tingling, crawling sensation, and even an itch that’s impossible to scratch.

Surprisingly, there is no known cure for Restless Legs Syndrome, but that doesn’t mean all is lost. RLS discomfort can be successfully managed (and should be!)

There are some groundbreaking studies that help finally support some those suffering with the life they knew, and there are ways to encourage healthy nerve function and reduce the nagging discomfort so it doesn’t spiral out of control.

“What Causes Restless Leg Syndrome?”

Surprisingly, the exact cause of Restless Leg Syndrome is still unknown, but progress has been made. According to WebMD, the factors associated with RLS are the following:

Chronic diseases: Certain chronic diseases and medical conditions, including iron deficiency, Parkinson’s disease, kidney failure, diabetes, and peripheral neuropathy often include symptoms of RLS. Treating these conditions often gives some relief from RLS symptoms.

Medications: Some types of medications, including anti-nausea drugs, anti-psychotic drugs, some anti-depressants, and cold and allergy medications containing sedating antihistamines, may worsen symptoms.

Pregnancy: Some women experience RLS during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester. Symptoms usually go away within a month after delivery.

Genetics: Nearly half of people with RLS also have a family member with the condition.

Other factors: including alcohol use and sleep deprivation, may trigger symptoms or make them worse.

“How do Iron, Inflammation, and Neuropathy Relate to RLS?”

Iron: The most consistent risk factor related to RLS is iron deficiency, as much as 43% of RLS is associated with insufficient iron levels, but recent studies show it’s more commonly related to low ferritin iron levels in the brain.

Inflammation: 89% of RLS-associated conditions have been associated with inflammatory changes.

From the abstract:

“The fact that 95% of the 38 highly-associated RLS conditions are also associated with inflammatory/immune changes suggests the possibility that RLS may be mediated or affected through these mechanisms. Inflammation can be responsible for iron deficiency and hypothetically could cause central nervous system iron deficiency-induced RLS.”

Neuropathy: 40% were associated with peripheral neuropathy - a nerve-related condition that causes very similar symptoms like tingling, numbness, and chronic pain.

The high association of neuropathy and RLS is an important one, and it suggests that these problems may begin at the nerves as well as the brain. Given what we know about the causes of RLS, what are the mainstream solutions?

“Are There Any Natural Support Supplements That Deliver?”

With any condition, there will inevitably be a line of natural support supplements created to help alleviate symptoms and build a path towards remission and health. Judging by the number of customers these companies have year after year, the volume of verified testimonials, and the support some of their ingredients have from the medical community, they must be doing something right.

Among so many choices, the question is…

"How Do You Separate The Good Products From The Junk?"

We have a passion for natural health and many of us have experienced these types of problems ourselves. That’s why we went out and compared some of the top natural support supplements to see which ones really stood out and which ones can be thrown out.

Here’s What We Looked for in a Product:

With years of experience, our research team dove into stacks of medical journals and consumer reports and studied exactly how certain vitamins and herbs can build a path towards health. We narrowed the list down to 4 essential categories that no support supplement should be without:

Liquid Delivery Method: We gave a heavy favoritism to liquid extracts, and it wasn’t for no good reason. Studies show the body uses 98% of the liquid extract compared to only about 39-53% of a capsule or tablet, meaning the remainder of those ingredients and the money spent on them are just flushed down the toilet.

Furthermore, capsules have to travel through the stomach and liver before their ingredients are even available to the body, while 87% of the liquid extract is absorbed in the first 20-30 seconds.1,2

One of the most common triggers is stress and anxiety, and for many, this can turn into a vicious cycle: Stress sparks the discomfort, and the discomfort cause more stress, which makes those problems worse. That’s why it’s so important for any support supplement to have a stress-fighting component.3

Healthy nerves can better communicate with the brain, and vice versa. That means they need essential B-vitamins and proper blood flow.4

  • Reduces Inflammation

95% of the 38 highly-associated leg-discomfort issues are also associated with inflammatory changes, and there’s some speculation that inflammation could be causing this problem entirely. A natural anti-inflammatory ingredient is a must for any support supplement.5

What We Looked For In A Brand:

Strength of Money-Back Guarantee: A money-back guarantee shows the manufacturer is so confident in the product that they’re willing to put their money where their mouth is. There’s simply no reason to trust a product that doesn’t offer a money-back-guarantee. 24 Hour Customer Support: A 24-hour customer-support service shows a manufacturer’s commitment to their customers, because 24-hour support isn’t cheap. With any remedy, you’re likely to have questions, and those questions can arise at any time of the day or night; 24-hour customer service offers a peace-of-mind knowing the answers are only a phone call away.

What We Discovered:

We discovered that there are a number of good choices when it comes to a support supplement, but some were certainly better than others. For us, there was a clear winner…
